My Love Affair With Ringtones

When I first got my cell phone (a wee two years ago - I bucked the trend for some time) my sister pointed out that I could give a person or group of people a specific ringing sound if they were calling my cell. At first I thought it was useless feature that I would never use. Then she showed me how to program in people for this feature. Okay, I was still not intrigued.

Then... I heard her phone ring and it was a top ten hip hop song in digital tones. Well. That changes everything! You can order new, current ring tones instead of using the crap-o-licious ones that come with the phone. Oh, and I just went hog-wild! Now my sisters, mom, dad, two best friends, and bf all have their own ring. The bossman has one too - funeral march.

Recently (okay, not that recently but I don't want to admit how "behind the times" I am), my carrier added ringtones that aren't digital remakes but clips from the original songs and voices. Needless to say, I eventually succumbed to the newer (and more expensive) versions. I downloaded the Incredible's Edna saying "How can it be someone important? We are both here, darling." ringtone for general use as my default ringer. I love it.
